On the last designated sprinters day before the field enters the Polish mountains, it was a newcomer that took the sprint over the world's best. FDJ's Yauheni Hutarovich outsprinted the bunch to the line in a burst of power that surprised everyone in the field and maybe even Yauheni himself. He mentioned how happy he was to be able to beat the "specialists" in the sprint and said how special his first ProTour victory was to him. The field spent the day chasing down a series of attacks, with perhaps the boldest move coming in the form of a 3 man breakaway with 24 km to go. Yesterday's winner Andre Greipel also tried to join the breakaway along with a teammate, but was unable to hold on and fell back into the peloton. Allan Davis had yet another top 3 finish and kept his overall lead.Stage Results
