Denmark: Saxo Takes Control

Saxo Bank made their first major move to win their home tour with a daring breakaway in the final climbs of stage 3.
Jakob Fuglsang launched a major attack along with Matti Breschel and the two teammates worked very hard together to escape from the chasing peloton. Breschel took the stage win, and also assumed control of the General Classification. Fuglsang now sits 2nd, 10 seconds behind his teammate, and 19 seconds ahead of third place. This was the major move for the stage for Saxo Bank, as tomorrow should be a bunch sprint and Sunday is a time trial (Fuglsang is a great TT rider). The greatest thing about this attack was that it was not at all planned. Fuglsang and Breschel took advantage of the great work of their teammates, and pounced on the opportunity presented to them.
