Vuelta: Encore!

Here are some nursing rhymes we all know: "When it rains, it pours." "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain." "Cav is back." All three were true as Cav showed that all he needed to do was get that first victory out of the way before the floodgates opened and he won another. It was almost identical to yesterday's win also. Cav and his team researched the course perfectly, and then Matt Goss gave him another outstanding leadout around the final corner to once again set up Cav for a relatively easy win. He seems to have hit his groove now, though it will be a major challenge just finishing the race from this point forward. Allan Davis, Giampaulo Chuela, Niki Terpstra, Oliver Kaisen, and Manuele Mori tried to break away, but they were easily chased down by Columbia and the other sprint teams. Igor Anton also had an easy day, holding onto his GC lead for at least one more day before the race hits the high mountains.
Stage starts out mostly flat tomorrow, before hitting a few intermediate peaks and then flattening out before a brutal summit finish. I think it will be a final duel between the GC contenders, and this could be either a chance for Anton to extend his lead or Rodriguez/Nibali to take it away.
