Utah: Levi Continues Dominance

Levi adds to lead, Phinney takes his 2nd stage Levi Leipheimer said yesterday that he wasn't sure if he could hold the leader's jersey. I wonder if he changed his mind yet. He certainly has good reason to be confident after his dominating time trial in which he blazed around course stretching his lead on his GC rivals and finishing only 1 second behind time trial wonderboy Taylor Phinney. Though Phinney experienced huge difficulties in the mountains, he has still had a marvelous race in which he won two stages and spent a day in yellow. Bissel's Jeremy Vennel finished the stage top 3, while Alex Dowsett took 4th and Brent Bookwalter rounded out the top 5. Things are certainly looking very good for Levi now, who just has to keep his eye on a few contenders and has more than enough in his legs to match them.

Tomorrow is another big mountain stage, with a huge climb near the end followed by a descent. My predictions are that a bunch of attacks will take place on the mountains, and their survivors will join together on a breakaway for the descent.
