Eneco: Henderson Sprints to Victory

Boasson-Hagen near miss again, Martin keeps lead Edvald Boasson-Hagen thought he really had it this time. His team made a perfect catch of the breakaway, he was in great position down the final stretch, but he just jumped the gun a bit too early. It was not all bad for Eddy BH, though, as it was his teammate Greg Henderson who went around him and got the victory for Team Sky. Henderson saw the opportunity in his tiring teammate, and went around the side of EBH and claimed the victory. Some say this may have been a planned move, others disagree, but it was a brilliant move by Henderson none the less. It was a pretty calm day for most of the peloton, as Tony Martin kept his 10 second lead and there were few changes at the top of the GC. (Boasson-Hagen did move up 1 place) The same could not be said for Christian Knees (still in GC contention at the time), who unfortunately suffered a crash at an early point in the stage and had to abandon the race and receive treatment at the hospital. He did not look to have broken anything, though he was cut quite badly.

Tomorrow's stage is a bit of a tricky one. It may end up a sprint, but there are enough hills that it may get interesting near the end of the stage.
