Welcome to Chasing the Peloton Cycling

Covering All of Cycling's Biggest Stories and Events

8/25/10

Off Day

Ok, so this is a first for a while. No major cycling classics or events or recaps or anything going on today! But since writing for this blog has almost become a habit this summer I cannot resist but to at least put something up on here. I guess I CAN give you all a preview of what to expect in the next few months on the blog. Things will certainly start to pick up again soon with the year's final grand tour kicking off on Saturday, and I would expect my Vuelta preview to be up sometime either tomorrow or Friday night. (no, it will not be as extensive as my TdF ones but it will certainly be sufficient) Things are also starting to look towards this year's worlds. You can probably find little pieces of world's news scattered throughout my twitter/facebook pages but the actual stuff on the blog won't be coming out until probably after the Vuelta. If any of you do know me personally you may figure out that this is about the time of the year when things get a little busy for me so I may not be able to cover some of the smaller events as extensively due to limited time. So, to compensate for this I have come up with a new idea of doing a "Daily Roundup", which is basically exactly as it sounds. It will be a roundup of all the the noteworthy cycling events of the day that I did not cover in an individual article. Ok, I'm going to wrap this up now but before I do I would like to thank anybody who has been reading my stuff over the last few months and tell you that I am really excited for what I can do with this blog in the future so keep reading. Oh, and in case you didn't know I am also open to covering any requested events that you may want me to. I mainly do mens road cycling, but I would certainly also be open to women's events, cyclocross, track, or mountain. (just no dirt bikes or motorcycles, etc) You can request an event by either firing me an email at my new address ChasingThePeloton@yahoo.com or by contacting me via twitter/facebook pages or you can just leave a comment on the blog itself.
