Do I really need to write this write-up? I mean, everyone knew the result before the final stage of the Eneco Tour even began. Tony Martin yet again proved himself to be a world class time trialist, second only to maybe Cancellara, and wrapped up his Eneco Tour victory in style with a stage win. The riders lower in the GC had the advantage for the stage, as the conditions were more favorable, but Martin (starting last) still won by 6 seconds over 2nd place Tjallingii and 9 over third place Alex Rasmussen. Koos Moerenhout, the only man with any kind of realistic chance at catching Tony in the GC, came in 5th for the stage and locked up his 2nd place spot on the podium. Just behind him was Edvald Boasson-Hagen, who also nicely defended his place on the podium. This race truly was a race for the time trialers, and it perfectly reflected that in the final classifications. The best time trialist in the field took the overall victory, and the rest of the top 10 were all rounded off by men who excel in the art of the time trial.1. Tony Martin
