Navarro and Co. to Saxo Bank

In a completely predictable but still nonetheless home-run move by Bjarne Riis and Saxo Bank, he brought in Contador's 3 top Spanish domestiques from Astana. Daniel Navarro, who put on a clinic in both the Alps and Pyrenees this year, headlines the group and is joined by the veteran mid-range climber Benjamin Noval and the young and promising Jesus Hernandez. There was talk of the three riders deciding to follow Contador wherever he goes, and talks with Saxo Bank have been going on since a little while after Alberto announced his decision. The three all agreed to 2 year deals.
What it Means...
For the 3 Spaniards:
They followed their ringleader Contador from one top team to the other. They said they wanted to do so from the beginning, and Alberto also wanted them on the team. The three have great chemistry with each other and Contador and shouldn't have much difficulty getting acquainted with their new position on Saxo Bank. I'd say its a great move for all 3 of them.
For Saxo Bank:
Alberto now has his supporting cast. His best domestique (and you can make a case for Navarro being the best on ANY team) joins him along with 2 other solid former-teammates and he is ready to go for his 4th Tour. Bjarne has his team set now, and its just a matter now of laying down the foundation for his talent. The other potential good thing is that they signed the 3 riders to 2 year deals, perhaps encouraging Contador to add another year as well.
For Astana:
PANIC MODE! PANIC MODE! Not only have you lost your biggest star but he took his top 3 Spanish teammates with him. This is huge because not only is Astana looking for a team leader, but also a supporting cast to accompany him. (basically a whole new team) Vinokourov does not have what it takes to lead a team at this point in his career, so I would expect Astana to probably target Menchov. They will also probably try to purge his Rabobank team for domestiques also, so keep an eye on it.
