Ok, bear with me because I am a bit late on this, but yes Roman Kreuzinger will be riding for Astana for the next two years. This was announced on Tuesday, and was welcomed by the Astana management and rider Vinokourov. He will likely be sharing the leadership with Kreuzinger for the next year or two, so its good that he is so enthusiastic. Lets see What it Means...For Kreuzinger: He went from one good team to one great team in desperate need of him. He will be highly looked after with Astana, though many of the top domestiques have left with Contador. None the less, I'd say good move by Roman.
For Astana: Horray, the bleeding has stopped. Astana has brought in a fresh young 24 year old supertalent to replace the departure of Contador. Ok, he may not be as good as Alberto but he still has the potential to give many good performances for Astana.
For Liquigas: Ouuuuuccchhh!!!! They just lost their best young talent. Yes, they still have Basso but he clearly does not have the form that Kreuzinger does let alone the youth. Liquigas does have a good young nucleus of riders, and should hope that one of them ends up being as good of a climber as Kreuzinger.
