Confidis, sticking with their usual philosophy of home grown riders, has a mediocre lineup this year including 8 frenchmen and just one foreigner. They don't have very many options besides some luck on a breakaway, but their likely best option for a high finish lies in the pedals of Damien Monier.
Monier's shining moment of his career came earlier this year when he won stage 17 of the Giro. That experience may just translate into something significant in the tour this year, but I really wouldn't expect it.
