Sad day of tribute and remembering at the Giro today. There were no attacks, and each team took turns with the pacemaking until Team Leopard (joined by Wouter Weylandt's best friend Tyler Farrar of Garmin) were allowed by the rest of the peloton to cross the line 1st together. All others riders finished at same time, and the stage itself had no effect on the classifications.Leopard Trek announced shortly after that they would be withdrawing from the rest of the event, while the rest of the field looks set to get back to competition tomorrow.
Some days are just more important than sport. Rest in peace Wouter. Gone but never forgotten mate.
