In a day in which the GC was pretty well decided, the only storyline that remained was which sprinter would take the final glory for stage 6. As it turned out, he who took the glory wasn't much of a sprinter at all. Hayden Roulsten launched a very late attack (last 800 metres) and caught all of the preparing sprinters off guard. He kept the pace of a sprinter himself, and cruised across the line with a 2 second lead over the scrambling peloton. While Roulsten got a taste of victory, it was Jakob Fuglsang who got the whole meal. Fuglsang, who won his home Tour for the third straight year, simply had to keep watch over a few distant contenders and cruise to the line for the easy victory. Fuglsang is obviously one of the upcoming stars on the cycling circuit, and this win should further boost his confidence for the end of the season and next. Svein Tuft and Matthew Busche will join him on the podium, both earning a spot there with a great time trial yesterday.Stage Results
