TDF: AG2R

AG2R enjoyed a bit of unexpected success last year, mainly due to the efforts of first time rider Rinaldo Nocentini. They will hope for a performance similar to last year's from Nocentini again this year.

He ended up in the top 15 and more importantly, held the Maillot Jaune for 8 days. He managed to work the breakaways perfectly in the beginning, and his AG2R teammates did a well enough job to hold it for him for over a week. If he can come close to this success, it would be a good accomplishment for AG2R. The other rider who can bring AG2R sucess is Nicolas Roche.

Roche is a great climber, and has come close to a few stage victories as well as a top 25 overall finish in the Tour last year. If Nocentini falls, the team support should shift to Roche, a rider who is certainly capable of the responsibility.
