Stage 13 Preview

Stage 13
Start: Rodez
End: Revel
Length: 196 km
Difficulty Profile (1-10): 2

This will surely be the last day for the sprinters until after the Pyrenees and probably until they hit Paris. It is just about as flat as flat can be, though there is one tricky little climb at the end that may drop a few sprinters if they are not careful. I think it will be the job of the domestiques to drag their sprinters over the top of the climb and get them ready for the sprint. It will be interesting to watch who Columbia chooses as Cav's leadout man after the disqualification of Mark Renshaw, but they will find someone and Cavendish will be up there competing for the stage. My money is on Petacchi, as he will surely want to again take green from Hushovd. Nothing will happen with the GC, though some lesser known rider might try a last minute effort over the final small hill.
